Community Reps Group
The Community Representatives Group (CRG) was established to provide a unified voice for the diverse Augusta community. Comprising representatives from the Augusta Community Resource Centre (CRC), Augusta Chamber of Commerce, and Leeuwin Lions, the CRG collaborates with AMR Shire executive and Council to address community concerns, advocate for projects, and seek strategies to enhance community infrastructure. By engaging with stakeholders and seeking feedback, the CRG works towards improving overall well-being of the greater Augusta community.
Community Sounding Board
As one of the unofficial community sounding boards of Taalinup Augusta, ACDA acts as a bridge between the community and external agencies. We communicate with residents to understand their needs, values and concerns, ensuring their voices are heard in decision-making processes. Through traditional and social media platforms and community networks, we keep the community informed and gather valuable feedback from online surveys to guide our initiatives.
Media
ACDA utilises various media channels to reach out to the community and keep residents informed about our initiatives and projects. We engage with the community through platforms such as the Pelican Post, Facebook, 2Oceans FM, emails, online surveys, AMR Times, and the Greater Augusta grapevine. By leveraging these channels, we aim to keep people in the loop with our activities, gather feedback, and maintain open lines of communication with residents.
